Prenatal yoga is a style designed for pregnant women to practice, regardless of their due date.

The mixture of stretching, controlled breathing and mental focus offers a variety of benefits to expectant mothers. This form of yoga can also increase strength and flexibility in the muscles used during labour and delivery.

Each class provides a safe space to connect with your growing baby, and other pregnant people in the community. Prenatal yoga is appropriate for those new to yoga or the experienced practitioner.

Nina will guide you through this 6 week Pre-Natal series which includes:

  • Safe postures to stretch out the body
  • Guided meditations for managing stress and anxiety
  • Breathing techniques to help with labour


Nina completed her 200-hour teacher training with a RYS in 2019 and then shortly after decided she wanted to deepen her yoga knowledge so she enrolled in the 300-hour program at PranaShanti. Her journey in birthing began after taking a prenatal class as one of her course requirements of the 300-hour program. “I was overwhelmed with a sense of beauty while witnessing the connection between mama/parent and baby. I knew during the breath work and guided meditation at the end of that class, that I wanted to be a part of this extraordinary and blessed gift with expectant mothers in preparation for my own journey into motherhood…one day. I wanted to be confident in my ability to teach pre-natal yoga so I enrolled in the 15-hour Pre/Post Natal yoga teacher training at PranaShanti in June of 2022.
